Kristen Murray

Element's Director of Development, Kristen brings a wealth of experience in project management, development, and collaborative leadership. She has successfully managed and collaborated on a range of projects, from small-scale initiatives to multi-year engagements, and has experience working with diverse teams and communities. Kristen’s experience and characteristics perfectly embody the core values of Element: Collaboration, Authenticity, Grit, Fun, and Creativity. 

Kristen's passion for participatory engagement and design is evident in her experience planning and facilitating engagement spaces using creative methods. She is skilled at working with multi-disciplinary teams and has a track record of success in grant writing. With her strong background in nonprofit and social enterprise work, including her past role as VP of Design Strategy at Juxtaposition Arts, Kristen is an asset to our team.

Kristen's education and professional development speak to her commitment to excellence, with a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota College of Design. She is also an active volunteer in the community and has served on the board of the Irreducible Grace Foundation. Outside of the office, Kristen enjoys biking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
